Dr. Linda Hubbard Curtis, co-author of Rising with the Son-Day by Day, is a Durham, North Carolina native who earned her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University. With over 44 years of experience in education, she worked 22 years in PK-12 education as a Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Assistant Principal, and Principal, and 22 years in higher education as Department Chair, Dean, and Vice Provost. Dr. Curtis also served as an Educational Consultant at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
After retiring as Vice Provost of Academic Affairs from Saint Augustine’s University, Dr. Curtis founded H&C Independent Educational Consultant, LLC. Her company helps students and parents navigate the path to post-secondary success, offering guidance on college preparation, course selection, and involvement in school and community activities. Dr. Curtis is committed to empowering students to achieve their goals and design their pathways to success.
